Dear friends and family,

We are looking forward to a wonderful Christmas celebration at Mount Carmel!

This past weekend I had the honor of being the campus host for the Student Ministry Christmas party. It was a blessing to see the students laughing, playing, eating, and learning together. These young people are the future of our church, and to see them gather together and grow in Christ together was really heartwarming.

As we head into the Christmas weekend, we hope that you get to spend some time creating memories with us in one of our Christmas celebrations. We have four Christmas services:

Saturday at 3:30, 5:00, and 6:30 pm and Sunday at 11:00 am. All services will have the same songs, sermon, and candle lighting. Neither Children’s Ministry nor Middle School will be meeting so your entire family can enjoy the Christmas service together.

On January 1st, we will have one New Year’s Day service at 11:00 am. The New Year’s Day service will be a family-style service with both children and students attending the main service.

From December 26 through January 2 the church offices are closed, and all staff are on vacation. If there is a family crisis and you need pastoral support, you can call the church phone number and select the option for pastoral care.

Each year we are asked the question, “What is the last day I can donate to receive a tax deduction?” In order to receive credit on your 2022 giving statement for a donation, the gift must be in the church office by 12/31/2022 or mailed and post marked by 12/31. You can also give via PushPay through 12/31/2022 and receive 2022 giving credit. Checks received on New Year’s Day are credited to 2023 as per IRS guidelines. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jperrine@mountcarmel.cc.

As Christmas approaches, the staff at Mount Carmel wish you and your family a season of warmth and excitement as we celebrate the true ‘light of the world’, Jesus.
