Interested in Baptism?

Didi shares his passion for baptism and explains how it is evidence of a growing church. In Matthew 28:19 we are told, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

He explains the plan of salvation in 4 parts.

  1. By Grace: Salvation from God is a gift undeserved. The work of Jesus on the cross and the empty tomb makes a way for sinners to be right with God.
  2. Through Faith: Faith or belief is the means by which we access God’s gift of salvation. If we believe that Jesus died for our sin and rose from the dead and we commit our life to that belief, we will be saved.
  3. At Baptism: Baptism (Immersion) is what we see in scripture as the occasion where salvation by grace through faith is pronounced.
  4. For Good Works: The gift of the Holy Spirit is given to us at baptism in order to live a life that honors God.

Acts 2:38 says, “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Didi explains how new life in Christ is captured in the act of baptism, symbolizing His death, burial, and resurrection. Our old self is put to death and our new self is raised up.
