Discover Peace

Preacher:
Passage: Romans 4:23–25 (NIV), Romans 5:1–5 (NIV)

Do you struggle with shame?

The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:23–25 (NIV).

God renders your shame powerless

Believe in Jesus who died to pay for your shameful actions…

…and was raised from the dead for you to be good with God.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 5:1–5 (NIV)

Shalom = Relationship of love and loyalty with God and with one another.

Shalom =  Prosperity. Health. Wholeness. Absence of hostility.

Peace with God is shalom in this season of suffering.
