Summertime is like a watermelon: it’s sweet, incredibly refreshing, and always more enjoyable when shared with others. Right?

If you’re a young adult looking for someone to share your summer (or a watermelon) with, please check out some of the fun events we have going on over the next few months!

Every Thursday night from 7-9pm, Mount Carmel Young Adults meet up in backyards and local parks around the community for campfires, marshmallow roasting, games, and hanging out. These are our favorite weekly connection points – a low-pressure time to connect with other young adults in our community. No frills. No agenda. Just a good time. Reach out to me (Reagan – 513.680.6445) or Aaron Thatcher (513.405.7983) for more info and our weekly campfire location. We would love to see you this Thursday!

June 9-11, we will be embarking on a Young Adults Camping Trip to Caesar Creek State Park with InnerTrek Ministries. We will share meals and conversations over the warmth of a fire, hike, play games, and make memories surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. We have options to accommodate anyone, whether it is your first time camping, you are a seasoned pro, or you are invited to come out and spend Saturday with us (if sleeping in a tent just isn’t your thing). It is going to be such a sweet time together, and we would love to have you join us. Registration for this event closes May 26th, so don’t wait to sign up!

On June 25th, the young adults will be serving alongside the rest of our Mount Carmel community as we pack food for an impoverished country in need. We would love to have you participate in this energetic food packing event, where we get to see the tangible blessing we will be sending to families across the globe. Register today!

Saturday, August 5th, we will be going on our 8th Annual Young Adult Kayak Outing in Loveland, Ohio! For the first time, however, we will be opening this trip up to Mount Carmel’s High School students (incoming freshmen to graduating seniors) to join us! Save the date for this summer favorite and keep your eyes peeled for more details to come.

The truth is, with both summertime and the watermelon, it’s just too much to fully savor on our own. When we get to share its sweetness and feel refreshed within a community – we can take joy knowing that not one bite of summer was wasted. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a community to share summertime with, click on one of the links above and get connected with us today.
