The Holy Fool
I am always amazed how things I read a while ago all of a sudden pop back into my mind. Over the last few days I have had the phrase “Holy Fool” repeatedly come to mind. I was first introduced to the term holy fool when I read Malcolm Gladwell’s book, Talking to Strangers, which must have been more than a year ago now. [...]
An Aspiring Event
Part of Mount Carmel’s vision is to provide opportunities for our congregation to develop a deep and rich relationship with the Lord. That discipleship piece typically takes place in our small group communities and our 1 with 3 discipleship groups. Occasionally we have larger events that provide a means to reach many people at the same time. This past weekend Mount Carmel hosted one of [...]
Reflections on Easter 2022
Easter Sunday is one of those holidays that we celebrate on the actual day. Winter Jam is a big concert filled with multiple well-known Christian music artists and speakers. Our students were really excited for KB, Tauren Wells, and Skillet! [...]

These are all great signs that the cold and gray winter is subsiding, and the light, color and warmth of spring are on the way. I also like this time of year because the [...]

Fellowship basically means “sharing life in common.” It is a relationship word. It is “I-need-you-You-need-me” word. God created us for fellowship. Fellowship with Him and fellowship with each other. Jesus said the greatest of all the commandments is to [...]
