Discovering your people at Mount Carmel can look different for everyone. You may find your people by serving, you may find your people in the foyer after service, or you may find your people in a group. One thing is for sure: finding your people is IMPORTANT.
One of our favorite ways of helping you discover your people is through Groups. Hundreds of people have chosen to engage with groups at Mount Carmel, and in those groups we’ve seen people thrive! The cool thing about groups here is that they are all different.
- We have groups that have 3-5 couples in them that meet regularly every week, and they pick different studies, build close-knit relationships, and last for years.
- We have groups that meet at the church for 5 weeks, host 15-30 people, and dive into challenging topics. Then people go there separate ways, but still were able to build relationships through the group and push themselves to become better.
- We have groups that meet monthly to hike in the great outdoors and reflect on the beauty of the nature God made.
- We have groups that meet every two weeks because busy life schedules make it hard to keep a weekly rhythm.
And those are just examples of a few types of groups that happen at Mount Carmel. There is literally something for everyone! And if there is something missing that you’d love to be a part of, we’re always looking for amazing leaders of new, fun groups.
We’ve seen some amazing things happen in groups over the years. People support each other through times of grief and celebrate wins as a community. Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s a short excerpt from a story of discovering your people:
“For me, the moment I knew God had brought us to the right place and the right people was when our kids were upset to leave small group meetings or randomly asked during the week when the next small group would be. Steve and I hadn’t just made new friends in our group, but our kids had, too! As a mom, the best feeling is knowing that my kids are excited and desiring to be around other believers.”
